Unite to Act: New UN SDG Action Campaign

With UNITE TO ACT, the UN is calling partners from around the world to help move the SDGs into real life, for everyone. The new campaign unveiled 4/7/2023 comes as the international community fast approaches the mid-point for Agenda 2030 amid distressing signs that progress towards the SDGs is behind schedule.

According to the recent SDG Progress Report, more than half of the world’s population is currently being left behind despite the pursuit of these ambitious targets with only a mere 12% of the SDG targets currently on track, and progress deemed slow or insufficient for 50% of them. The report adds that over 30% of the SDGs have either stagnated or regressed.

Ahead of the critical SDG Summit in September, the campaign is planning to unite all actors, amplify an urgent call for ambitious new action, showcase the Goals as the blueprint for sustainable progress globally, and mobilize people everywhere around this shared agenda for our common future.
